About Tableau
Tableau is a visual analytics platform transforming the way we use data to solve problems
What it does in Tableau
- Pulls the numbers you ask for from Tableau
- Builds the weekly report into a Sheet
- Flags changes worth a look
- Answers questions about the data in plain words
How it works
- 1
Add a teammate
It gets its own account in your Google Workspace, with its own email, calendar and Drive.
- 2
Connect Tableau
From its Apps tab with your API key, with the Tableau account your team chooses. Or just ask it, and it sends you the link.
- 3
Hand it the work
Email it, message it in Chat or Slack, or mention it in a doc. It asks before anything that matters.

Questions
How does it connect to Tableau?
With a Tableau API key, pasted once on the teammate's Apps tab, or just ask it and it sends you the link. It connects with the Tableau account your team chooses, and each teammate has its own connections, so you decide exactly what each one can reach.
What does it do in Tableau without asking?
The everyday work it is there for: reading, updating and keeping things current. It asks first before contacting someone new, spending money, or anything that can't be undone, and every step is in its activity log.
Does it need its own Tableau seat?
No. It works through the connection your team sets up, so there is no extra Tableau seat to buy for it.
Is Delegmate made by Tableau?
No. Delegmate is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Tableau. Tableau is a trademark of its owner.
